Inspired by the strangest novel of the 19th century, Léon Genonceaux’s novel ‘The Tutu’, Sotheby’s Asia Chairman Nicolas Chow has created a short film featuring highlights from our upcoming auction Curiosity V (#HongKong | 2 April). In its fifth instalment, the sale offers an eclectic and thought-provoking assemblage of works from prehistory to the present. Here, Chow brings to life a passage from ‘The Tutu’ using a superb stone head of a bishop and an array of sculptures from the sale.
