wes_bugg @plutonian_might this has literally been covered in multiple Star Wars media. Droids grow personalities beyond their programming. Are you to tell me R2-D2 acts on Just his programming? That he’s no different from other R2 droids that have restraining bolts and regular memory wipes? Droids do gain sentience. It’s just how it works, there is no argument here

Are you really saying that because L3 tells off someone who forces droids to fight against their will means she’s feminist? You’re insane

wes_bugg @whatsup_br0mar L3 is not feminist. L3 supports the freedom of droids. Basically stop having them getting memory rights that suppresses their personalities from growing. But regardless, L3 has nothing to do with feminism. You’re really reaching to pull that out

plutonian_might @wes_bugg it's simple: L3-37 was just another politicised character with a feminine droid programming, that constantly yelled about droid rights and bashed other male characters, much like the feminist movement in our world today!

plutonian_might @wes_bugg it's just a machine with it's own A.I., not an organic creature with a real free will. Besides there were droids whose programming didn't allow them to grow their own personalities even if they had no memory wipes!

wes_bugg @plutonian_might do you know anything about Star Wars? When droids don’t get regular memory wipes and don’t have restraining bolts they create their own personalities beyond their programming and become sentient beings
