The Prospect Brighton Mangrove Park is the only remaining white mangrove and coastal forest on mainland St Vincent and provides a habitat for unique wildlife, including the blue land crab and red footed turtle. 🌿
Today The Prince of Wales toured the park and learnt about the conservation work and educational efforts taking place in the area.
The park management say they are inspired by a quote from HRH delivered in a speech in Jakarta, Indonesia in 2008: “Forests…are in fact the world’s air-conditioning system…and we are on the verge of switching it off.”
