It is called the Pale fox and is found in the area around the Sahara desert in the northern part of Africa. Living in this arid environment environment is no doubt the reason for spending so much time underground. The Pale fox is a relatively small fox with a maximum weight of 6 lbs. They live on a diet of berries, insects and rodents and reptiles. They get all the water they need from their food so they seldom need to drink. Unfortunately the number of Pale foxes in existence is not accurately known so it is not known if they are a vulnerable population.
