It felt like we reached to the last stage in the blink of an eye. It was so much fun. I was thinking of what Ichiro said during the recent press conference to announce his retirement. He said he used to enjoy baseball, but after some point, he started to feel higher expectations from people, which resulted in less enjoyment in baseball. I know it is a totally different case, but this year’s Roppongi Kabuki was a new challenge for me that I had to threw away my armor that I was normally wearing on my classic stages. It was indeed a big commitment. I feel very fortunate that I got to meet with a wonderful friend, Ken Miyake. Thanks for that, I was able to survive this challenge and enjoyed every stage. I also realized that, just like Ichiro (again I know this is not the same comparison), I was feeling a bit too tight myself in the world of Kabuki, Classic art, Japanese culture, as I also feel higher expectations on myself. I feel grateful and humbled to have a precious experience this time. Such a great time. Grateful for everything. 六本木歌舞伎、終わってしまったこんな風にあっという間に舞台が終わった事いつぶりなのか時の流れが違いました。楽しかったんだな私、イチローさんが引退の時に野球が楽しいと思えたのは随分昔である時から実力以上のものを求められる事に楽しさを失った様な言葉がありました全く異なりますが今回の六本木歌舞伎は私も歌舞伎のもしくは古典の鎧を脱ぎ捨てての公演でした。ある意味かなりの覚悟のいるものでした。その中での舞台私は運が良い三宅健君という最高の友と出逢えた事により鎧が脱げたそしてイチ人間として役者として舞台を踏めたような気がしました、そして私もイチローさんとは住む世界違いますが歌舞伎の世界古典の世界日本の文化の世界私なりに求められるものが高くなる世界で少し窮屈だったのかな、、今回の公演心から楽しかった、これってすごい事です。本当に感謝。全てに感謝。 #市川海老蔵 #海老蔵 #成田屋 #歌舞伎 #六本木歌舞伎 #羅生門 #ABKAI #ABMORI #ebizoichikawa #ebizo #kabuki #thunderparty #theater #theaterarts #actor #japan #classic」3月25日 12時41分
