#ArtWords: Performance art is created through actions, which may be live, recorded, rehearsed, spontaneous or scripted. 'Performance is not a medium, not something that an artwork can be, but rather a set of questions and concerns about how art relates to people and the wider social world.' - Jonah Westerman, 2016
Until 31 March at Tate Modern, celebrated German artist Anne Imhof is taking over Tate Modern's atmospheric Tanks with 'Sex' — a free exhibition of paintings, sculptures and architectural interventions. At night the exhibition will come alive with music, lights and ticketed performance. Feel free to explore the performance spaces by day, in Imhof's first exhibition in a UK museum. (Link in bio for more)
All advance tickets for the performances are now sold out. There will be a returns queue in the Turbine Hall from 6pm on performance evenings, as and when space becomes available in the Tanks. Please note that these spaces are very limited, particularly before 7.30pm.
