meteorinnov8 as a coach, i tell throwers there is no way to throw a specific distance. Practice is to achieve right positions/ angles, sequence, then speed. Meets measure results for specific conditions. As a thrower, i don’t want to be restricted by measuring in practice. we can always do better!

sandermarguste Yes! I dont measure my throws aswell. If i measure then i want to throw even further and further, but the aim is to throw 80-90% max on trainings to not hurt your body. 100% effort always takes much much longer to recover and therefor you get less out of your training.

e.daddii @thomasroehler I assume distance on how well it felt, and looked. It’s better to not know and not be discouraged, than to know and feel bad. I don’t ever try to figure it out unless it felt amazing. Practice is to get better. Not to show off. 💯🙏🏼

mhassemer Anybody can win in training. It’s all about what the tape / laser says at the competition that counts.
