The postpartum period. Ahhhh the time when you have your baby safe in your arms and yet you feel waves of uncontrollable emotions. Beautiful, inconvenient and real. The time when everyone focuses on the baby and forgets about the mother bc her body has healed but has her mind? The time the mother feels raw and in need of community and yet the world keeps turning and she’s meant to just fit in like normal. But it doesn’t feel normal. How can it? She just made a human being. The time the mother finds strength so deep within herself that it surprises her and she realizes how much of a warrior she truly is. This time. This is postpartum. It’s messy and unsettling and so f’in glorious. ❤️

_tara_michelle I just had my 3rd baby last Saturday... it doesn’t get easier... the tears, the anxiety, the frustration, the feeling of helplessness to older children and husband. It’s all such a short, yet exhausting time! Hang in there 😊
