I had a monster in my head everyday that I fought against from the moment I landed in Spain. How would I get around a course when I couldn’t breathe? What if I lose the spot? How do I come back after a DSQ? It took 10 races and a final downwind on the medal race to win the test event spot...AHHHH, that was grueling!! So what’s my conclusion??? Middle finger to all the demons in my head and bronchitis I stood up against...it feels good to kick them in the face, conquer them, and relish the lessons they taught me.
