My sister, brother, and I were declawed in 2015 at a California American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) hospital by an @avmavets , American Association of Feline Practitioners (@catfriendlyhomes ), California Veterinary Medical Association (CVMA) veterinarian, Dr Glen Weber. The two vets at the AAHA hospital talked my owners OUT of using the humane alternatives and said declawing was a standard procedure and we would be fine. WELL WE WEREN'T FINE AND BECAUSE OF COMPLICATIONS, ALL OF US HAD TO HAVE OUR PAWS AMPUTATED . 😿💔 AND the vet didn't even give us pain meds for 3 days after our declaw procedures. The hearing by the veterinary medical board for this declawing vet to determine his punishment was supposed to be on Oct 1st 2018 in Oakland but it got postponed. 7 months later the California veterinary medical board STILL hasn’t decided on what to do to this declawing vet for causing this unimaginable suffering and mutilation.
