Some of the player badges I have collected over the years. Every pro golfer aspires to have one of these during the first week of April, and I’ve got to be honest, I always have serious FOMO when I’m not part of the Masters field. .
The number you are given is all to do with the order in which you register. Some players like a specific number, & I always remember Jerry Kelly waiting around registration until 11 people had registered so he could get the #13 player badge. Yes that math doesn’t add up I know because the best player badge number to have is of course #1 - always kept and given to the defending champion. .
I’ll try and post a picture everyday with a little story behind it this week because....well it’s @themasters week, 99% of golfers favourite week of the year! #talesfromAugusta

@lukedonald I understand your FOMO but IMHO the masters is kind of an overrated snobbish event. No women until 2019? Seriously? Just one of my thoughts for this.
You’re a great champion. Get yourself ready for the UsOpen @pebblebeachgolf and bring that cup on Father’s day!

My brother is your biggest fan and you asked him last year at the heritage where is the annoying driver one referring to me I think and I was wondering if you can maybe stop by next weekend and maybe surprise him

2007...noice. Was that by accident? If you’re ever back near Beaconsfield come to the Jolly Cricketers. They have a picture of you with Nicklaus and Watson on the Swilken Bridge.

Very interesting! Keep the facts flowing! I’d love to hear more about behind the scenes action of the Masters ??

That is awesome! Have the badges changed in material over the years or it kept the same?
