[SWIPE] In honor of Willie McCoy, Stephon Clarke and the families of those who have lost their loved ones to police violence.
California Legislators have the opportunity to save lives by passing #AB392, raising the standard for when police can use deadly force.
Instead of shooting first, the bill requires officers to use alternatives before they take a human life.
While this seems like a common-sense, it isn’t the current practice in California. Right now, police can use deadly force and kill someone even when they have other options.
Too many families have been shattered by police violence in California.
