Nothing awkward about this photo - just so you know. This is a very natural sitting position for young human children indigenous to the suburbs of the northeastern region of the United States. They all sit, facing the same direction, in complimentary apparel, legs around each other as if riding an imaginary horse, as protection against the cold winters when the baseboard heater isn’t cutting it. #nationalsiblingday #nationalsiblingsday

Being from Darien Connecticut I can confirm this. I have the same photo of me and my older brother. I've got a formal gown on and he's got a bow tie with suspenders and white button up. So nicely posed as little kids. I miss my baseboard heater Haha that thing could cook a meal. I used to open my window in the winter when it got so warm. Love the old 1800 houses with character. Our neighbors house even had a basement made of oyster shell walls.

I have many of the same photos with my siblings. I guess that was the pose back then.

My cousins who grew up in Cheshire have the very same photo of all three of them.
