After seven years of avoiding extradition to the US, Julian Assange was arrested and removed from the Ecuadorian embassy in London following a notice that his asylum would be revoked by Ecuador's ambassador on Thursday morning. The WikiLeaks founder, who was detained for skipping a UK arrest warrant issued in 2012, flashed a peace sign and a thumbs up from the police van.
