Happy Friday 🙌🏽 I’ve been having a bit of an emotional one today so am going to try to ‘clock out’ this weekend. The pretentiousness of Instagram is overwhelming sometimes isn’t it? That’s how I feel. It’s especially hard to grow when everyone is buying followers and likes and using shady growth tactics. The overuse of face tune and photoshop. I keep seeing models who look completely different in real life. Even from my own hometown! I’m so done but at the same time I love expressing creativity and my love for fashion and travel?Instagram is guilty of not showing people that are actually using organic growth tactics or showing off their bodies to grow. I’m tired of seeing over photoshopped Instagram baddies in my feed. I like fashion and people I can relate to. I’m not saying I’m not against plastic surgery it’s just that Instagram only pushes people with those looks. So it makes it harder for people to grow. They also overlook buying likes and followers. I know bloggers that confessed to this on Instagram. I know someone who just went viral from doing this. I refused to give in but at the same time. My work barely gets seen. It’s a constant battle I’ve met some amazing people and I’ve had amazing opportunities. I just feel like Instagram needs to change. You’re not the first blogger to talk about this ❤️

I have been an avid YouTube fan since 2012 when I lived in UK. You and @fleurdeforce were one of the first I watched. Both of you guys have remained authentic and relatable. I hate what I see on YouTube now. “Beauty/fashion influencers” flaunting designer wear that has been gifted and are unaffordable to many and press trips that are unattainable to most as well. Stay you and do you because that’s what we loooove ?

It’s just a sales platform now. Not why I originally came here but it is what it is. Moving forward it’s just realization that social media is destroying us as people. It’s time to grow and head to a simpler and more honest way of life. Phones down, heads up! We are all beautiful in our own ways...?? #willalwayslovethebeautycrush

Hey Sam, was wondering why the comments are disabled for your vlog channel? In one of the recent videos you ask people to say why they might not be watching as much or unsubscribing yet the comments were disabled? Maybe you’ve disabled them because you’re just going with you’re own flow which I think is a good idea definitely!
