ケイト・ナッシュさんのインスタグラム写真 - (ケイト・ナッシュInstagram)「13 years ago today I played my first show. I was working in River Island at the time. I had moved there from Nandos as I was looking for change after my heart surgery that year. My friends were at university, drama school and traveling. I was feeling frustrated and lost and bored w what I was doing and was confused about my future. I broke my foot and got my final rejection letter and my mum and dad (🙏) bought me my first electric guitar. I recorded some songs and put them on MySpace. I made a deal w myself to book a gig for in 6 wks time when my foot was due to be healed. I did it. I was terrified. I burnt a cd and brought it down to Trinity in Harrow, gave it to Pearse who I had gone to school with who booked shows at Trinity and he told me I could play April 13th 2006. I was scared. But I was also bored. Scared was better than bored. I didn’t realize it at the time but life threatening surgery had also effected my decisions to have no back up plans in place and try to achieve my dreams. I called my friend @mcweeney_ and asked him if he knew someone that would play a gig w me and he recommended I call Jay Malhotra @woolymamothsounds who was in the bath when I called. He was up for it. I remember the feeling after that show and how happy and excited I was. I quit River Island the next day and haven’t looked back. Music has taken me to heaven and hell. If you are scared of performing remember that the worst thing that can happen up there is someone could pull down your pants and everyone in the room sees your genitals and laughs at you. It’s not really that bad is it. You could fuck up, throw up, poop your pants, run off stage, cry, forget everything and have none of your gear work. Almost all have happened to me and I’m still here telling you it means the world to me. Try to do what you love and never give up on yourself. And thank you Jay for taking those first scary steps with me, traveling the world w me, making me laugh through all the intense stuff, breaking into theme parks w me, falling off a roof w me, forgiving me for being a dick sometimes and being my lifelong friend ❤️🚀 photo @photosonny」4月14日 6時39分
