Photo by @Cristina Mittermeier | British Columbia’s coast continues to be one of my favorite dive spots on the planet. The best diving months are in the winter, when plankton blooms die down and the water becomes crystal clear. Above the surface, the sea can be violent and moody as the waves crash against the rugged shoreline. However, once underwater, it’s a completely new world, a hidden treasure chest of marine life. Here, a sea anemone sways to the rhythm of the ocean, extending its tentacles to feed. This is only one of a plethora of marine species that inhabit this nutrient-rich area. #FollowMe at @Cristina Mittermeier and explore my feed for more underwater photos from #BeautifulBC. #BritishColumbia #anemone #diving #biodiversity
