Last summer, Los-Angeles based photographer #BradTorchia has spent time ‘escaping the LA heat and making photographs along the crowded wooden planks of the Santa Monica Pier’. The result is a photographic project that perfectly represents the unique atmosphere of Californian summer afternoons. ‘When I really first started taking photos it was very simple, just walking around a place, finding people, making portraits. Over time you tend to complicate things and try to show how good you are, what tricks you can do, etc. I’m getting back to the simplicity now, and that’s exactly how this project was.
