This week, our team held Youth Climate Lobby Days in states across the country. Hundreds of young people gathered at their state capitol this week to demand that elected officials support science-based and equitable climate policy in 2019. At Distributed Youth Lobby Days across the country, youth marched, rallied, and collectively met with more than 165 state legislators. Jessica Proctor, an environmental science student at Tompkins Cortland Community College, is one of 44 students who gathered in Albany, New York to meet with elected officials and assemble a climate action mosaic at the capitol. Jess says, "I think the most important thing we can do as young people is to keep talking about climate change - let our government know that we care and are not stepping down until we see effective action to address it. They are there to represent us so we need to ensure that they hear our voices. I am a supporter of the Climate and Community Protection Act and climate action in general because I want my future children to live on a healthy and diverse planet." #YouthLobby #WhoSaysYouthDontLobby」4月16日 6時58分 - nikkireed
