Ok, design friends. What do we do with this corner?? This little book in our living room has always been a conundrum and as we get to the final stretch of this room makeover, I’m torn. The rest of the room has a super minimal vibe, so I don’t want to add too much clutter, and the floors here are slopes upward, so something flat on the ground might look a little wonky. So what to do? L-shaped floating shelves for books? Leaning ladder with blankets? This corner doesn’t get a ton of light most of the day so it’s not super plant friendly 🌿🚫 My design mind is totally blank 😬 *Sofa and rug both from @luluandgeorgia [For info on the paint color see my previous post- it’s two colors mixed together] #dspink

ART on that wall. And maybe a standing lamp for the corner. But definitely a piece of art. Something expressionist with graphic use of black. And add a textural something to the sofa. Done.

A 6’ tall Schefflera Amate plant would do wonderful in that corner! They tolerate lower light/easy to care for, are a gorgeous emerald green, and are available at your local nursery! ?

I’m curious about your decision to paint the doors and trim the same paint as the wall....very interesting! Now I’m wondering if I can get away with that in my bedroom....

I’d definitely be putting plants there. There’s loads of plants that would work well there! Devils ivy is my first though.

I just did my living room in Benjamin Moore Malibu peach and it looks so so close to this. Amazing color.
