Made it to the top of Vernal Falls the day after the hike to Glacier Point (in so much pain) but oh so worth it. Couldn’t make it all the way up to Nevada Falls. My husband and I had a full week camping with bonefire and knife throwing we did ourselves and took it with us for 6-7 hours drive. Wished I did the Half Dome; sounds fun, though, it’s strenuous. Tenaya Lake is magestic, by the way. A couple were climbing on El Capitan in that week. Unfortunately, the guy didn’t make it. Anyway, everything was great and I hope you had fun in your trip! ?

Enjoy Yosemite! You should drive to Glacier Point for the beautiful view of Half Dome and the valley, granting the road is open. Clouds Rest is on my bucket list. You can hike a loop from Mist trail(past Vernal & Nevada Falls) to John Muir trail. The distance is shorter than Clouds Rest, but it’s actually steeper, especially if you start from Mist trail. It’s easier if you hike the other way around. Both hikes are strenuous.

Glacier point might still be close coz of snow since it’s the highest peak, but it has a nice view of Yosemite valley and half dome.

Go hiking at @mohonkmountainhouse in New York. Worth the challenge which they call the "lemon squeeze"! @annecurtissmith
