I thought I lost the first 6 polaroids when we moved and just found them! Also I thought it would be fun to have everyone comment something that you didn’t know about pregnancy, labor, or recovery before having a baby! I feel like I knew NOTHING and was shocked with some of the stuff that happens. I just want to point out that while our bodies do crazy stuff for our babies these aren’t “horror stories” this is how our bodies work and a part of the journey. It’s not always pain free or glamorous but that’s what makes the sacrifice so beautiful. My only purpose for doing this is to make sure women who go through labor and are experiencing new things that they didn’t expect to know it’s normal! I felt a little embarrassed by certain things with recovery and it comforted me hearing others going through it too and it empowered me to be more open with my postpartum experience this time around and not just with the pretty parts. Certain things happened differently with each of my deliveries and none of my recoveries were at all the same and I would do each of them over again, again and again. You might only have 2 of the hundreds of things listed here 🤷🏼‍♀️ everyone is SO DIFFERENT and all deliveries are sooo different! I LOVE LABOR!!! I love giving birth to babies!
