I went through this phase about a decade ago and flip me it’s back with a vengeance! . A friend of mine works with @frenchicpaint who very kindly sent me a few samples to try and so I rolled my sleeves up and gave it a go! (#gifted) . Firstly, doing something practical, not looking at a screen and seeing something happen was JOYFUL. 10/10 recommend. . Secondly, I’m really happy how the crate turned out (swipe for the rather racy ‘before’)! I bought the swirly bit from @amazon, painted it and glued it on and I think it looks cute. I also bought some sandpaper so I could rough the edges to a bit to give it that shabby chic vibe that I remember loving so much. . Thirdly- I’m not as thrilled with my frame efforts but I think I rushed them. I think had I applied primer more carefully, let each coat dry or used a smaller psi brush, I’d have been better results. . All in all, absolutely loved this little project and definitely want to try more! Popped in on my friend Julia at that cute vintage shop I adore (@mlvjc) and she’s sent me off with a box of more paint goodies to try so I’ll let you know how I get on with those! I bought an old wooden rocking horse in a charity shop that I’m going to restore- squeeeee!!! . Hope your Easter weekend is going well and you’re enjoying the sunshine as much as I am!
