At the same time, we can feel the regenerating lesson of the unarmed and powerful words (democracy, respect and reconciliation) which were able to transform that past, thus neutralizing one of the biggest wounds and disgraces of the 20th century.  In the fresh air of South Africa, we can feel the strength of goodness in the living testimony of a wonderful dreamer who embodied those words, turning them into pick locks, into open windows, into a dove of peace.  In his country, Nelson Mandela is a presence that is even more alive and palpable. He is a companion on the road, a brother, the inspiration behind that love revolution that gave a peaceful present and future to a great diverse community.  Our hope (and our personal commitment) is that each person of goodwill will take on a fragment of the weight of those explosive words, according to their own strengths, grasping “Madiba’s” lesson and the core values he taught by way of example, in the heroic beauty and the poetry of his life.  This is a purpose that we strongly embrace, a project that warms us and fills us with enthusiasm: to live poetically, always.
