You influenced my path in so many ways. You brought me on my first ever alpine route in the Dolomites, which was a total crash course, I can‘t tell you how scared I was when you told me how to fix my jumars to follow you (and that hanging 30m apart from the wall). After this adventure I started to dream about those big walls and to go back (years later) to finally free climb a route on the same wall by my own. You were always a bit crazy what means with a low fear level (except from water-which was kind of funny) you were such a honest and grateful guy! You loved the mountains so much and shared those experiences with others. The performance didn’t seem to be as important to you compared to the adventure and the fun time spending together. You brought me the first time to Yosemite valley (almost 10 years ago), that was one of the best trips I have ever had. I always felt safe climbing with you and trusted you 100%. Even if it didn’t turn out great every single day. When you had this 20+meter fall on „Washington Column“ (on the second last pitch because you told me big cams are just to heavy to bring them) where you broke your wrist—you definitely had not the best climbing partner on your side at that moment. But at least I could find the right broken bone on the X-ray picture afterwards. Thank you for every moment I could share with you my friend, you know how real adventures look like! My thoughts are with the families of Hansjörg, David and Jess! Rest in Peace my heroes!!」4月22日 6時54分 - babsizangerl
