In celebration of this amazing philanthropic event 10 #HBCU’s were granted $50,000 each to improve the conditions of their campuses. $500,000 was awarded yesterday folks! In the last 10 years of the program, $2.6 million dollars have been granted to #HBCU’s under this program alone! A lot of companies sing it, but @homedepot BRINGS IT! We must share this news and encourage other corporations to also give back to the communities that support them and invest in tomorrow’s future leaders! Also congratulations to @tennstateu for winning the Campaign of the Year award they had over 400,000 votes this year including alumni and the community. Shout out to Melissa Brown from @homedepot for her leadership, vision, advocacy and sweat equity with this program. She has built a legacy for this brand that will last for decades. This is what corporate diversity looks like when qualified people get in positions of influence that ultimately rewards the company as well with lifelong brand advocates.
