"I've been in sneakers ever since before I could walk - my parents exclusively put me in baby chucks (Converse). Once I had more say in what I wore, I graduated to Nike Shox and Adidas Superstars in elementary school (I used to think my Nike Shox made me jump higher). I got really into thrifting and vintage clothing when I was in university, so I gravitated towards older silhouettes (aka what are now known as 'dad sneakers'). After I graduated I interned at Complex (Canadian division) and was obviously exposed to insane sneaker culture while there. I would also say my good friend Anthony had a large impact on my love for sneakers - we'd always run to Foot Locker for new releases back when we worked at the mall together!
