On this day, April 29, 1980, Chris Greicius, a 7-year-old fighting leukemia had his wish granted to be a police officer, inspiring the founding of Make-A-Wish®. Now, 39 years later, World Wish Day® celebrates the hundreds of thousands of life-changing wishes that have been granted – and the thousands of wishes still to come.
