Not today satan - check out this #ExclusiveTip from Artistic Team member @beautybymissruby 👇 --- Now most of us aren’t washing our hair everyday, and we shouldn’t be, but what’s the best way to make sure we are properly removing old products on those important wash days? - For myself, I have my wash routine down to a science. Since I’m platinum blonde again I want to make sure that I’m getting out any old products that could potentially dry out my hair and make it look anything but fabulous, but I don’t want to use a shampoo that’s going to strip away my natural oils or compromise my new gorgeous color. I started using the new @olaplex shampoo and conditioner to help keep my hair as healthy as possible. - I start out by thoroughly rinsing any product out of my hair, using my hands to scrub my scalp until I feel that most of the product has run out. This will help avoid having to overuse shampoo or multiple washes to remove buildup. I always, I repeat I ALWAYS, wash my hair in cold water in order to keep my toner lasting as long as possible. Hot water will open your cuticle and cause color loss, so to avoid taking a cold shower I like to wash my hair in the sink. 💦 - Once I’ve thoroughly rinsed my hair, I add in my #Olaplex shampoo and work it into the hair, making sure I get through my scalp to ends as much as possible. I then rinse again until everything is out of my hair, then I add in the @olaplex conditioner and let it sit on for 3 minutes. I’ll rinse one last time until the water runs clear and I don’t feel any products in my hair. I know this may seem silly to many of you, but properly washing and rinsing your hair will give you the best possible canvas for creating amazing styles.
