5 years ago today, the High Definition Earth Viewing experiment on the space station began, giving people around the world a chance to see live views of Earth from the vantage point of space, a view only a few people will ever have a chance to experience in person. Testing new engineering processes and camera system longevity expanded into having avid Earth-viewing followers and educational activities. Now, HDEV has been viewed over 300 million times on Ustream.
