I think it would help everyone knowing that we all go through the same hardships. With the Olympic qualifications beginning next weekend, I’m immediately reminded of what I went through last time around. I contemplated speaking about this for quite some time, but I think it can only help others. Something that very few people know, but I battled a mild case of depression. I started pushing people away, I was always tired, and I found very little joy in the things that I was doing. I spent a lot of time crying. I was struggling financially, I was beyond stressed out because of money and as well as knowing that I had to perform in order to qualify.
