This is the Sarpi Border Checkpoint in Sarpi, Georgia. It was designed by J. Mayer H. Architects, and it is the customs checkpoint at the Georgian border to Turkey. The stunningly unique zig-zag design is meant to inspire anyone who enters the country. Architect Marc Kushner profiled this groundbreaking building and many others in his #TEDBook, The Future of Architecture in 100 Buildings.” For more, check out his book at go.ted.com/futureofarchitecture

Hello ?? We would like to introduce you to out social group project called: “persona_tm”
Where we post daily situations that people go through throughout the day, or basically telling a funny or an unforgettable story that you would like to share in public but want to remain anonymous (if you choose to do so) in hope that people might see things from other peoples perspectives and might learn a thing or two, or just have a laugh at it.
Basically we are at the very start of our social group and might require help when it comes to building our community.
Hope that you could give us a share and a view of our profile info.
Thanks in advance, kind regards! ?? persona_tm

I see there are lots of negative comments about the architecture. It may not be the best and very suitable for the place where it is but there are so much better buildings and places here that make millions of tourists really excited every year. And yet, in my opinion this building is so modern and "cool". Also, let's forget the architecture and the designing for a minute. Georgia is one small but very rich country. Rich for all the humongous mountains, thousands of rivers and lakes, green forests, black sea, traditions, traditional food, drinks, clothes, houses, culture etc. You won't be disappointed if you plan your next trip here. You can text me for more details. ?

Well, i'm so surprised that i discovered this picture here. I'm Georgian and it's always an amazing feeling when I find my country on really famous pages and social media platforms such as Ted, because Georgia isn't really well known in other huge and developed countries. Georgia is one of the most beautiful country in the whole wide world and I'm not saying this just because it's my home and heaven on earth, it truly is and am sure everyone who's been here even for once, will agree. ? @ted

Inspire people to do or think what exactly?? Is the zig zag interior space utilised in any way or just a staircase to the top? Can't say I like it?

I was right there in 2011 and swam around that spot on a Georgian beach. There were strange lights in the water there.
