‘NE’ QUI NE’ ALTROVE’ An article about @milovanfarronato, the curator of the Italian Pavilion at @laBiennale in Venice written by @exquisit_m in our May Issue.
It is a bond formed by reading volumes of literature and criticism in the countryside of Piacenza, where Milovan Farronato was born in 1973. No one in his house talks about art, nor is anyone interested in it. His close contact with nature shapes his personality, which he defines as both "sunny and shadowy". He cites the poems of John Keats and Emily Dickinson, Sigmund Freud’s theories on Moses, the essays of Emilio Villa and Giorgio Manganelli as being among the pages that have nourished his sense of art and beauty, opening up the horizon of that distinctive Po Valley landscape and transforming his diachronic, dynamic and evolutionary approach to knowledge into a fundamental inspiration.
