What’s in it for the rescuers? They do it because they can’t stand seeing dogs in neglect or in fear. They do it because it’s rewarding to see these dogs take a freedom ride from a shelter and eventually find their forever homes. These dogs won’t have to starve or be chained in the backyard anymore. In the end, we might have to let them go to someone deserving so that we can save more dogs.
