But I’ve been following many on the campaign trail and asking myself, what IS my political agenda and how do I choose a candidate? The breakdown podcast with @shaunking is a great place to start. In ep. 25, How to choose who to support for President, Journalist Shaun King explains how and why it’s good to choose someone early and go all in. I love Marianne Williamson. I want to hear spirit and love voiced in the debate. I love Mayor Pete. He’s intelligent and he’s my generation. I love Kamala. She’s my Senator. I love Elizabeth Warren. She’s gentle yet fearless, just like her golden retriever. I like Cory Booker. Beto’s okay. Biden is no. I met Joe Biden when I campaigned with him thru Ohio in 2012. Nice guy, but he isn’t radical enough for me. The times have changed. The future is already different and he seems stuck in the past. He doesn’t compare to the other more brave players trying to change the game. I keep coming back to Bernie. He’s got the track record. It seems whatever he says sets the tone for all the other young candidates: Healthcare for ALL; Eliminate student loan debt; Make large corporations pay f*cking INCOME TAX like the rest of us; Keep us out of wars; Advance all forms of equality; Care about workers; Raise the minimum wage; Acknowledge climate change is real and invest in renewable energy; etc. None of these ideas sound scary to me. And none sound like socialism to me. In fact, all of these efforts seem like a positive step towards a healthier America. If you’re a fan of Trump, you might also appreciate Bernie. He’s as radical as Trump and not well-liked by the establishment either. He’s not a professional politician looking to get rich on oil & opioids. He’ll shake up the system just as Trump did, but in a way that actually benefits regular citizens. One example: If large corporations paid income tax, the government could allocate more money to schools, teachers, healthcare and SOCIAL SECURITY - Basic welfare. Wouldn’t it be nice to have a humanitarian in office? From my perspective, a vote for @berniesanders means EVERYBODY WINS. Who are you feeling?」5月9日 5時04分 - jason_mraz
