Was thinking a lot about how often we subjugate ourselves without even being aware. Whose #approval are we trying to win? Had the revelation that when we desire approval from somebody, we start playing by their rules... we give priority to their values... and we accept their ceiling as our own limitation. Finding your voice means relaxing into your own #power, not giving a sh*t about who’s impressed and who’s not, and daring to live the truth that resonates with you. It’s a lifelong process, to be sure... And while it’s always important to learn from one another, and to afford others their human dignity... the more we make false #idols out of others - our parents, teachers, our boss, our loved ones, our followers, society - the less likely we are to realize that specific piece of the human puzzle that is ours to reveal.
