‘After All 2’, 2015 by Swiss artist Nicolas Feldmeyer depicts a rectangular slice of light injected into a scene which has been rendered by 3D software. Feldmeyer’s practice can be understood as an adaptation of tableaux photography in the 21st century, and through the use of landscape imagery and geometry, his work aims to clear the viewer’s mind of the overwhelming environment of contemporary life. As he puts it: "the contemplation of space and light is core to my practice. There is an idea of stillness and vastness that moves me, a glimpse into the great silent."
