This has been one of the most incredible years of my life. I created a tv show about my multigenerational interracial weird funny brown family, sold it to ABC, became an executive producer, assembled the most incredible cast with Jane Leeves, Art Malik, Deniz Akdeniz, Alanna Ubach and Liza Treyger, created a wonderful onset family where everyone’s kids and parents and friends were welcome and managed to put my brother and Dad into the show. I found out yesterday that ABC is not going to go forward with the show which of course is heart breaking... but the experiences I have had with my tv family and my real family have been life changing. Thank you ABC and thank you to my partners Alex and Matt and Todd for walking shoulder to shoulder with me on this wild year.
