Seven years ago today, I finally got my pilots license. It was a lot of stops and starts prior to that, and after that, but through it all, it has been an invitation to learn. My obsession with the wild blue yonder has never left me and, God willing, never will. I’ve met some amazing people through this crazy community of pilots. kliewvii @realmikevogel you are in such a beautiful part of the country. Flying into Queenstown is awesome. Flying in the South Island is awesome. It’s like no mans land with insane scenery and grass runways that are really hard to find!?

realmikevogel @kliewvii we were up on Deer Park Heights in Queenstown. Perfect view of final approach into QT. I was so jealous of everyone getting to come in and out of that place by small plane. If I had only had time.......

marktrishl My dad was a pilot. He told me he loved it from the time he was a little bitty boy. Ended up becoming a B17 pilot in WWII (8th AF), and never ever stopped loving flying, until the day he died at 90 years of age.
