Officially announced about the name succession of Ichikawa-ryu
Kobai, my aunt, will become Juko. My sister, Botan will succeed to the name Ichikawa Suisen IV.
And my daughter Reika will be also taking over the name Ichikawa Botan IV.
I am grateful for being able to share this happiest moment with my family and everyone.
Performances to celebrate the name succession will take place for 10 days in August, which is very special for Japanese classical dance.
They all are very excited about the stage and very appreciative of the support they will receive from other dancers.
I also would like to express my huge appreciation for everyone for everything.
Tickets will be on sale from Saturday, June 15.
Hopefully many of you can join us in this special celebration.

叔母の紅梅が寿紅へ、
妹ぼたんが四代目市川翠扇へ、
そして、
麗禾が四代目市川ぼたんへ、

自分の事よりも
嬉しい瞬間に立ち会えて

八月に披露公演させていただきます。
日本舞踊の公演で10日間する事は
大変珍しい事です。
三人とも精一杯勤める覚悟感じます。
そして
今を輝く同世代近い舞踊家さん達の
お力添えに胸が熱くなります。
深く感謝。
私も微力ながら
力添えしたいと思います。
