A few months ago @MTV approached us, along with @blackmamasmatter to partner with them on a maternal health campaign timed to Mother’s Day. When it comes to saving the lives of mothers everywhere, we know it’s going to take all of us, working together, so we jumped at the chance. With @lenawaithe at the creative helm, their campaign “Save Our Moms” launched today. We are proud to support this initiative which we hope will help ensure Black Mamas get the services, care and support they need and deserve. There is a war happening in our own Country but the soldiers have been swapped for students. Please join my peaceful protest and not attend school for 26 days in the 2019 -2020 school year. If they won’t make our hallways safe we shouldn’t have to be in them. Be the change you want to see happen.
