Here are the 25 Republican Alabama state senators trying to criminalize women’s reproductive rights NATIONALLY by challenging Roe v Wade at state level. Some people think politics is boring or useless or depressing or feel that ordinary people have no power in it. Some people even craft complicated self-victimizing theories to justify not getting involved - to justify not voting. These 25 men don’t think that way. If you’re good with them using their worldview, religious beliefs and will to control your choices & freedoms, then lay back and let them do their thing. If you’re not ok with that, keep informed about and fully engaged in politics and encourage everyone you know to do the same. At the very least, vote. Alabama was the state where they cracked John Lewis's skull while he advocated for voting rights for the disenfranchised - others were killed. Power to determine state and national law means that much to those who perpetrated that violence. They were cut from the same cloth as these 25 Republicans. They want you disengaged from the process. They want you to feel powerless. Don’t give in to them. Fight them. Win.

So what life or we talking about? All the rationalizations in the world don’t change the fact that it is a human life. And if you murder a pregnant woman, try arguing in court that it isn’t.

buddybonesmagee46 Btw, birth control is under attack in your country, it’s affordability, access through your country’s miserable excuse for a healthcare system. In my country, if you’re sick, you go to the doctor, it’s billed billed, you pay nothing. We have a pharmaceutical benefits scheme, it subsidies the cost of pharmaceuticals so unwanted pregnancies are less likely. So congratulations to the one or two woman who managed to make it work. I’ll speak for the rest and their children who continue to live in a cycle of poverty.
