I look back at these days & so wish I would have appreciated them even more! I remember wondering how I could love another human being as much as I loved my first baby...where would this extra love come from? As an only child I couldn’t, in any way, grasp the concept of “more love”. AND THEN... that magical moment as all of us parents remember... that moment when I heard avery’s first sound, that sweet, little cry, ALL THE LOVE WAS THERE. I have no idea where it came from and I have no idea how it got there but it was and is to this day the most incredible and yet humbling feeling! To love someone more than you love yourself is a gift from God and possibly our only insight into how much he loves us! As all of us mommies/parents know THAT love for our children grows daily and throughout the years! It makes us be the people that will protect and defend our children against whomever and whatever. We Will take on and accept and endure anyone and anything in the name of loving and protecting our little ones! In my opinion, there is a special place in hell for anyone that hurts a child and I have to be honest in saying I look forward to looking down upon them from the pearly gates and saying “you deserve to be where you are…And I hope it hurts you as much as you hurt them.” All children matter.
