Her advocacy for marginalized people and places motivated her 2016 pilgrimage with artist Abigail DeVille (@victoriouspurple) to the sculptor Noah Purifoy’s Outdoor Desert Art Museum in Joshua Tree, California. Frazier found ‘an ally and a predecessor’ in Purifoy, known for his transformation of salvaged wreckage. In this work,one of a series of photographs that document the artists’ journey, found materials come together in the form of a shelter, light peeking through gaps in its roof and walls.
