Introducing the @destinationperth welcoming committee. 👋 Photographed by @tomproudfoot at #CoodeStreetJetty, graceful black swans are actually @westernaustralia’s official bird emblem, and for good reason - they’re rather abundant in this part of #Australia! They can, of course, be spotted on the aptly named #SwanRiver, but another hotspot to see these beautiful birds in large numbers is Lake Monger, a wetland area slightly north of #Perth’s CBD. And although they’re usually rather friendly, word on the street is it’s best not to feed #blackswans or try to get too close, as they’re still wild animals after all.
