Absolutely insane and infuriating. But here we are, MEN, what is happening in Alabama, and other states (and other countries) is being characterized by the media and government as a “Female Issue”. Men, whether you are a feminist or not, you need to abolish this lie. You or a man you know have directly benefitted from access to Abortions or in other cases emergency contraceptives also referred to as “Plan B”. Men need to come forward and speak up that this is not a “female” issue, that they alone should not be in the trenches fighting for this. We, (MEN), benefit just as much and are equal players in this. This is a global, all gender issue. I myself, luckily, have not had to use an abortion clinic, but I have as a man benefited from Emergency contraceptives. The rights of these are at risk as well. It’s not just abortions. It’s the right for a woman to choose what she can or can not do with her body that is under furious attack.
There should be no laws to limit the choices a woman has on her own body, no matter the circumstances.
We should at the very least agree it should not be decided by 25 white men.
For Alabama and other states, Arkansas, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, Missouri, Ohio and Utah trying to push through this malicious and by design direct attack on poor, marginalized communities, You should be ashamed of yourselves. Because we all know that if someone has the means $$$ there will always be a way to “deal with it”... somewhere else.
A privilege NOT afforded by all.
Lastly abortion is still legal in all 50 states, if you or someone you know needs help you still may legally do so. Thank you to @yellowfund and @aclu_nationwide and @acluofalabama @plannedparenthood for fighting the fight. I have made a donation to the @yellowfund today and encourage you to do the same if you want to help. #enough #alabama #alabamaabortionban #menspeakup #feminist #feminism #womensrights

@giacomo_gianniotti My thoughts exactly! People forget that men have often taken the innocence of women by forcing themselves and raping them. No woman or child should be forced to keep a baby that was a product of rape or incest. Some of you may not realize that it us very much still legal for a father to sleep with his daughter in certain states as well. These century old laws should be corrected while acknowledging people of today. We are no longer a country from the 1700s. I don't even believe in abortion, but I also do not believe in forcing someone else to live with a child that is a product of rape or a child that will suffer a many of issues due to genetics and incest.

@tristen_breyer_spn you misunderstood me. I’m not minimizing that. What they go through is horrible. I’m saying you cannot use an emotional argument for 1% to validate the other 99%. I’m in no way slandering woman who have been raped. Just pointing out a flaw in an argument technique. I am truly sorry for you and your friend for having to go through that. Know that most people who bring up what I brought up are trying to show 1% cannot defend all. Not that the 1% doesn’t matter.

@the.indian.feminist how about u go to school and learn the difference between right and wrong. right is adoption. wrong is killing the baby. ”medical termination” is killing!! abortion is in fact MURDER. i do care about children in the foster homes. but you know what else i care about? children in the womb. a bunch of people just saying,”oh yeah its ok to get an abortion, its not a baby anyways.” umm, YES IT IS. you need to think about right and wrong. and abortion is WRONG!

@canadianchicki here’s the thing though. It was men. That was the issue. It would never be women that vote this way because we are the ones who get pregnant and know whether or not we are prepared mentally, financially, and physically to have a baby. How can you compare abortion to war? Young women and men these days volunteer to go to war. To fight and protect their citizens and country. Your comparisons are weird as fuck I don’t think you know what you’re saying.

@laianamatos 1. Go to school 2.learn the difference between a baby and a foetus 3.learn the difference between killing and medical termination. 4.care about alive children in the foster homes, living in poverty etc 5. According to science anyone is alive if they have coordinated brain activity which is not achieved in a foetus till 24 weeks and only 1-2% of the abortions happen after that n that too because of threat to mother's life and foetal abnormalities

@jmarkoz1010 LMFAOO if my parents had aborted me i wouldn’t feel because i wouldn’t be here . if my mom was not in a place to have me mentally physically or financially then by all means she can exercise her right to choose . bringing a kid into the world won’t guarantee a good life . and aborted babies don’t go to hell if that’s what you’re implying but then again ion believe in hell so to each their own . good day (:
