Making abortion illegal does NOT lead to less abortions ( statistically proven) but leads to illegal abortions that often jeopardize the woman’s safety, health and life by self-inducing or seeking a dangerous illegal procedure performed by an individual lacking the necessary skills, or in an environment lacking medical standards. This law will mainly impact poor and young women living in peripheral economies that cannot afford a plane to the next state.
