A new exhibition, exploring the work of both Marcel Duchamp and Jeff Koons, is now on view at the Museo Jumex in Mexico City.
The exhibition title, “Apariencia desnuda: El deseo y el objeto en la obra de Marcel Duchamp y Jeff Koons, aun,” translates to “Appearance Stripped Bare: Desire and the Object in the Work of Marcel Duchamp and Jeff Koons, Even” and is curated by Massimiliano Gioni. It is the first major exhibition to bring together these two legendary artists, and address key concepts about objects, commodities, desires, and the artist’s relationship to society.
