It’s the hard truth of the state of our country and world. I walked by this scene just yesterday. Look very closely at these 2 pictures. What do you see?... There was a call from a neighborhood clinic to our incredibly necessary and brave #firstresponders - and to be very clear this is not an attack on them! They rushed inside to help someone. But do you see what they had to walk around? A man, on the ground, covered in a blanket, to hide from the harsh elements of living on the streets. This is the state of our medical system. This is the state of our mental health care system. Our medical staff has to follow protocol. Can you imagine what it’s like for them? So what are WE, our community, our society, doing for this poor man? This is someone’s son. Maybe someone’s father. Or brother. This is us. So do me a favor today. Do something nice for a stranger you would normally have ignored. Help someone across the street. Or onto a bus. Thank a first-responder. A police officer. A paramedic. A firemen. An ER nurse. And instead of selfishly buying yourself that Starbucks, buy a sandwich for that fellow human out on the corner. And if you dare to do something even bigger, figure out how to help change your legislation so we can start getting #mentalhealthcare FOR ALL 💚 ...thanks for listening to my rant ...and I dare you to ”like” this post as much as some sexy photo shoot ✌🏼」5月23日 2時20分 - madchenamick
