Working with the education authorities in the Khenti Region, through the Sustainable Fibre Alliance, the program has now trained 432 secondary school age children. . These children have been trained in how to use tradition nomadic herding best practice to manage the grassland sustainably as part of their community. Next year we will use the 4 textbooks/workbooks we have created as the basis for expansion cross the whole of the Khenti Region and into a second Region. . This program is giving young herders the tools to fight global warming and its impact on their grassland by using the very best of their traditional practices and modern sustainability thinking. .
